About Us

Who we are and what we stand for.

Who We Are

A non-profit powered by unified sport.

AbleVolley Youth Alliances Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth with diverse abilities through the transformative power of volleyball. We operate in collaboration with the ESSA brand, drawing on ESSA's competitive volleyball infrastructure and athlete pipeline to support a genuinely inclusive "Unified Sports" environment — linking competitive excellence with specialized support to foster real connection on and off the court.

Our Mission

Bridge the gap between athletic excellence and social integration.

Our mission is to create a safe, empowering environment where neurodivergent youth and those with physical challenges celebrate individual strengths through tailored volleyball programs.

Inclusive Play

A platform where every player, regardless of ability, feels seen, valued, and empowered to compete.

Social Growth

Enhancing community bonds and fostering meaningful peer connections through shared athletic achievement.

Core Pillars

Three commitments, one team.

01

Family-Centered Support

We know kids grow best when family is part of the journey. Siblings and parents are welcome in the training process; we encourage shared learning, shared language, and shared celebrations. Families become part of a wider community, not just spectators on the sideline.

02

Strong Community Partners

We work with the Air Volleyball Association and trusted local partners so athletes can train in real, high-quality spaces: local high school gyms for indoor skill-building, and UTM (University of Toronto Mississauga) and Huron Park for specialized beach volleyball sessions.

03

Unified Sports & Mentorship

Athletes from the ESSA REP TEAM join as peer mentors, training and competing on the same teams as AbleVolley athletes.
